Laborer

Seeking Landfill Laborer out in the Franklin, WI Area to start as soon as possible. Long-term position.

• $18.00 Per Hour

• 1st Shift Tuesday – Saturday 7:00 am – 3:30/4:00 pm

Job Summary:

Performs various tasks in a landfill including containing loose refuse to prevent scattering and directing traffic at the landfill.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

• Manually picks up windblown paper from the periphery of the landfill.

• Carries a large plastic trash bag and walks along the fenced border of the landfill, as well as on exterior land adjacent to the public property.

• Pulls paper from the fence and lifts loose paper from the ground, depositing refuse in the bag until full.

• Seeking workers willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat/cold, rain, wind, and muddy conditions).

• Cleaning landfill/fence line/roadway area of all debris (paper, plastic, metal, and misc. recyclables).

• Customer Services with the residential.

• Other duties as assigned

• Need steel-toe boots.

• Dress for the weather (coveralls, thermal long johns’ pants and top, raincoat, etc...)

• Seasonal

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather with no complaints.

• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.

• Must have steel-toed boots six inches tall.

• Must have a reliable transportation.

• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Must have a good work ethic.

• Must have good attendance.
