About the Role:

As an Environmental Scientist I, you will play a critical role in supporting environmental research and analysis to promote sustainable practices and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting environmental data to assess the impact of various projects and activities on natural resources. This position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions that mitigate environmental risks and enhance conservation efforts. You will contribute to preparing detailed reports and presentations that communicate findings to stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and community groups. Ultimately, your work will help guide informed decision-making that balances development needs with environmental stewardship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and standards applicable in the United States.
  • Experience with data collection techniques and environmental sampling protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data analysis software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and environmental modeling software.
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting processes and regulatory agency interactions.
  • Previous internship or work experience in environmental consulting or research.
  • Certification such as the Certified Environmental Scientist (CES) credential.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field sampling and data collection related to air, water, soil, and biological resources.
  • Perform laboratory analysis and interpret environmental data using scientific methods and software tools.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to environmental laws and standards.
  • Support environmental monitoring programs and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
