About the Practice

Buffalo Endovascular & Vascular Surgical Associates (BEVSA) is a specialized vascular surgery practice serving the Buffalo/Western New York region. This position is based out of Access Care Vascular & Wound Health, our outpatient center delivering care across three integrated service lines: advanced wound care, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), and vascular diagnostics.

We are growing and seeking a motivated, clinically skilled midlevel provider to join our collaborative team of vascular surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals.

Position Overview

This is a full-time outpatient position spanning all three clinical service lines: vascular patient care, wound care, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. You will work closely with our vascular surgeons and clinical staff to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care to a complex patient population.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Ankle-brachial index (ABI) interpretation and comprehensive vascular assessment

• Antiplatelet and anticoagulation therapy management

• Coordination of complex vascular cases with supervising vascular surgeons

• Clinical documentation support for prior authorizations, peer-to-peer reviews, and insurance appeals

Wound Care

• Wound assessment, measurement, photography, and CMS-compliant documentation

• Sharp debridement procedures

• Dressing selection, application, and wound product management

• Compression therapy evaluation and management

• Wound culture interpretation and antibiotic treatment decision-making

• Wound VAC therapy oversight

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

• Hyperbaric consults: evaluate patients for HBOT candidacy, provide patient education on the treatment process, and obtain medical clearance

• HBOT program supervision and clinical oversight

• Staff supervision during HBOT treatment sessions

• Train to become a certified hyperbaric technician and provide chamber coverage when needed

• HBOT coverage coordination and ongoing program management

Clinic Operations & Leadership

• Wound care center team coordination including oversight of Medical Assistant staff; wound care education covering dressing selection, wound measurement, documentation standards, and wound photography

• Patient flow management and clinical workflow optimization

• Participation in organizational and practice-wide meetings

• EHR documentation, note completion, quality assurance, and staff onboarding to documentation standards (MEDENT)

• Provider-to-staff triage communication and lab/imaging result routing

• Clinical skills training and competency oversight for support staff

Qualifications

Required

• Active PA-C or NP licensure in New York State

• Graduate degree from an accredited PA or NP program

• BLS/ACLS certification

• Strong clinical documentation skills and attention to detail

• Ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred (but not required — we will train the right candidate)

• Experience in vascular surgery, wound care, or hyperbaric medicine

• Familiarity with ABI testing, sharp debridement, and wound VAC therapy

• Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)

• Experience with prior authorizations and insurance peer-to-peer processes

• Comfort with EMR-based documentation workflows
