CDL Class A Truck Driver

We are seeking a professional and reliable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic laws, and excellent driving skills. Experience with various types of trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks, is highly valued. The CDL A Truck Driver will play a critical role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks with manual transmission across assigned routes.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Transport goods via refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks depending on the assignment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Manage delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or issues.
• Assist in securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.

Experience

• Valid CDL A license with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery.
• Experience operating various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred.
• Familiarity with manual transmission trucks is required.
• Prior experience with freight handling, load & unload operations, and using equipment like forklifts is advantageous.
