Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care / Step Down (IMC/PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Full-Time (36 or 48 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical step down / progressive care unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as appropriate
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a step down, progressive care, IMC, or PCU setting
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing a diverse, high-acuity patient population in an intermediate care environment
• Familiarity with care protocols for sepsis, respiratory failure, and neurological emergencies
