About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL A Flatbed Driver for a local, on-site position in Salem, Oregon. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers $28.00 per hour, a Monday through Friday schedule, and dedicated support from the TransForce team.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Overtime: May be required based on business needs
• Employment Type: Temp to perm
• Anticipated Start Date: July 13, 2026

Job Details

• Route Type: Local
• Freight: Pipe, iron fittings, and valves
• Equipment: Freightliner or F250 pickup with a flatbed trailer
• Handling: Heavy-touch freight, including loading and unloading materials
• Work Setting: On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Freightliner or F250 pickup with a flatbed trailer to deliver materials locally.
• Load and unload freight, including pipe, iron fittings, and valves.
• Secure cargo properly and ensure loads remain within applicable weight limits.
• Perform warehouse duties and maintain general housekeeping.
• Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day and confirm delivery directions.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for work-related communication and tasks.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
