Job Title

RN II – Surgery (Mandatory Call)

Location

San Luis Obispo, CA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8s, Monday–Friday, rotating start times between 0600–2030; mandatory call required (minimum 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
• Coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff in the operating room
• Assure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care
• Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment
• Fulfill mandatory on-call obligations including nights and weekends as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent
• Minimum one year of full-time operating room experience
• Experience in Orthopedic, Neurological, and Trauma surgery
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
