DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports patient care by providing hands-on nursing services and following established treatment plans. The work centers on promoting safety, meeting clinical needs, and supporting the overall healing environment. As a Licensed Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Direct Care: Provide daily nursing support including assisting with personal care, observing conditions, and reporting changes
  • Medication Tasks: Record medication responses, verify orders with supervisors, and carry out assigned treatments
  • Clinical Documentation: Document observations and care details clearly and in a timely manner according to guidelines
  • Safety Practices: Apply crisis prevention methods, infection control steps, and established safety procedures
  • Communication Support: Share clear updates with supervisors and team members during shifts and care transitions
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with staff, follow direction, and adapt to changes in assignments

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 2nd shift, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • 2nd shift receives $1.25/hour shift differential
    • Every other weekend rotation
    • Holidays as scheduled
  • May change based on operational needs.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $68,914.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Special Requirements:
  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
