BBSI is partnering with one of Southern California's most respected heavy-duty truck and trailer repair companies to identify an experienced Operations Manager who is ready to become the right-hand leader to the company President.
This is not your typical Operations Manager role. We're looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys developing people, improving processes, and leading by example. You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing service organization while helping position the company for continued expansion throughout Southern California.

Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Lead and develop the Shop Supervisor, Operations Coordinator, Parts Coordinator, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees while maintaining high performance standards.
- Partner closely with ownership to execute strategic initiatives and operational goals.
Operations
- Manage daily shop workflow, technician productivity, and mobile fleet scheduling.
- Improve operational processes to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure work orders are processed accurately and completed on time.
- Monitor KPIs, shop utilization, labor efficiency, and operational performance.
- Maintain compliance with DOT, BIT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Customer & Business Operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet customers.
- Collaborate with the Parts Department to improve inventory management and vendor relationships.
- Provide leadership reporting and recommendations to ownership.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Operations Management experience within the Heavy-Duty Truck, Trailer Repair, Fleet Maintenance, or Transportation Service industry.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (Required).
- Proven experience leading teams in a service-based operation.
- Experience managing shop operations, workflow, scheduling, and customer service.
- Strong understanding of DOT and BIT regulations.
- Experience with shop management or fleet management software
