We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 to join our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at South Braddock Avenue in Pittsburgh. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of the store while delivering exceptional customer service. This position supports the daily operation of a busy retail liquor store by assisting with staff leadership, customer service, and product management. As a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Store Operations: Supervise store activities during shifts and ensure that procedures are followed
- Team Leadership: Guide employees by assigning tasks, reviewing work, and offering support
- Customer Assistance: Help customers with product questions and maintain a welcoming environment
- Inventory Support: Assist with tracking stock levels and keeping displays organized
- Compliance Oversight: Support adherence to laws and policies related to alcohol sales
- Safety and Preparedness: Lift products safely and maintain a clean and safe store environment

- Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of lead retail sales work.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
