Monte Nido Walden Westborough, located in Westborough, MA, is a primary eating disorder day treatment program exclusively for adults seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Through partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming, clients participate in group and individual therapy, benefit from Monte Nido’s clinical, medical, psychiatric, and nutritional expertise, and experience real-life challenges.
The Group Facilitator position is responsible for providing direct patient support as well as therapeutic interventions. Therapeutic interventions will be conducted in adherence to the philosophy and principles of Monte Nido.
We are seeking a Group Facilitator to join our Monte Nido team.
This is a FT position including 2 evenings (12pm-8pm), Monday-Friday.
Pay: $23.00-$28.00/hour depending on education and experience.

Responsibilities Include::Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing a safe, comfortable environment and therapeutic milieu for patients.
- Models therapeutic eating habits with clients by eating provided programmatic meals and snacks aligned with the company’s nutrition philosophy to completion throughout shift.
- Responsible for engaging with patients in a way aligned with the company’s therapeutic approach.
- Responsible for delivering curriculum, as needed, to groups with the ability to communicate and escalate situations appropriately.
- Able to run assigned groups independently.
- Co-facilitates groups with others as needed by supporting engagement and attendance.
- Internalizes feedback from manager on interactions with team and clients and works to improve on feedback.
- Always presents in a professional way, reflecting the standards of care of Monte Nido.
- Monitors patient safety (including eating-disordered behaviors) during the program day and intervenes with recovery-focused directives when appropriate.
- Participates in and monitors daily meals and snacks with Facilitates Meal Pre-Planning and Meal Process Groups. Will need to eat with clients during meals and snacks.
- Checks in with clients as needed, e.g., if not in attendance.
- Escalates those not in attendance at the group in real time to ensure follow-up with the client.
- Coordinates the collection of outcome surveys and client satisfaction surveys during treatment.
- Documents in daily reports and patient meal logs, all information, interactions, communications, behaviors, and interventions in a timely fashion.
- Updates group and meal notes within 24 hours, keeping attendance and noting any relevant details.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly to bi-weekly staff meetings and treatment team to continue personal and professional growth as well as building cohesion amongst the treatment team.
- Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of a patient’s total needs as a person, and addresses psychosocial, physical, developmental, spiritual, and cultural issues as appropriate for each individual.
- Has working knowledge of the program’s policies and enforces them with clients in group as needed.
- Adheres to and follows the Monte Nido & Affiliates policies and procedures, including work schedule, time and attendance, and time off.
- Uses tact and sensitivity in communicating effectively and respectfully with patients, families, co-workers and all others.
- Provides for the maintenance of confidentiality of patient records and communications.
- Maintains the values and philosophy of the mission statement of Monte Nido.
- Recommend quality and/or process improvement initiatives in order to more effectively and efficiently perform the job functions of this position.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications::
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling or similar field strongly preferred
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant health-related field.
- Group therapy experience preferred.
