Job Title: CNC Operator
Job Description
This role focuses on operating a plasma table and other CNC metal cutting equipment to support fabrication and welding activities in a busy shop environment. You will contribute to the production of high-quality metal components by setting up, operating, and troubleshooting equipment, as well as assisting with finishing processes such as deburring, sanding, and grinding.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and metal cutting equipment, including a plasma table, to produce parts according to specifications.
- Perform routine troubleshooting on CNC and metal cutting equipment to maintain consistent quality and minimize downtime.
- Assist with general fabrication tasks in the shop, supporting welding and other metalworking activities as needed.
- Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
- Assist with deburring, sanding, and grinding finished products to achieve smooth, clean, and safe edges and surfaces.
- Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards throughout all stages of production.
- Collaborate with other shop team members to complete jobs efficiently and maintain an organized work area.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and metal cutting equipment.
- Experience operating a plasma table or similar CNC cutting machinery.
- Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure for precise measurements.
- Hands-on experience in metal fabrication or working in a fabrication shop environment.
- Capability to assist with welding-related tasks and support fabricator welders as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products.
- Ability to perform physical shop work, including deburring, sanding, and grinding metal components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Any education or certifications related to manufacturing, metal fabrication, or CNC operations are a bonus.
- Background in fabrication, fabrication welding, or working as a fabricator welder is advantageous.
- Comfort working with hand tools and shop equipment commonly used in metal fabrication.
- Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to different tasks within the shop.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
