Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role offers flexibility and the chance to work closely with a diverse student population in a supportive educational environment. The assignment covers the summer session (07/07/2026-07/30/2026) and continues through the full 2026-2027 school year (08/24/2026-06/11/2027), with just 4 hours per week required onsite.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Physical Therapy license for Maine
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents, ideally within school settings
- Understanding of IEPs, evaluations, and creating tailored treatment plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
- Ability to adapt interventions for students of varying abilities and grade levels
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services and interventions for K-8 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Assess and document student progress, collaborating with multidisciplinary staff as needed
- Educate teachers, staff, and families on strategies to support student mobility and participation
- Consult during team meetings and contribute to positive student outcomes
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
