Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications

  • Current or conditional Maine DOE State Licensure (282)
  • Maine DOE Background Check (CHRC) required
  • Experience with Adaptive Life Skills or willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized instruction in Middle School or Elementary Adaptive Life Skills classrooms
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student learning
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
  • Communicate progress with parents, guardians, and stakeholders
  • Maintain organized records and comply with all reporting requirements
