This contract opportunity is located close to Damariscotta, Maine, and is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering student growth and independence. The position offers a unique schedule: provide 4 hours of weekly therapy during Summer School (07/07/2026–07/30/2026) and then continue care through the entire 2026-2027 school year (08/24/2026–06/11/2027).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Physical Therapist license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
• Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
• Ability to motivate and engage students with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy to students from kindergarten through 8th grade, following prescribed IEP goals
• Assess and document student progress, adapting interventions to maximize achievement and access
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, families, and other specialists
• Provide input for IEP meetings and assist in developing appropriate goals and strategies
• Support classroom staff with recommendations for accommodations and adaptive strategies
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school district and state requirements
