Key Qualifications:
- Current Vermont Physical Therapist license (required)
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and school-based therapy documentation
- Ability to work effectively and compassionately with students ranging from kindergarten to twelfth grade
- Skilled in developing individualized treatment plans and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering student success and well-being
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students (2 days/week)
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional input and advocating for appropriate physical therapy interventions
- Track progress, update documentation, and communicate with families regarding student needs and achievements
- Support school staff through training and exercise recommendations tailored to student needs
