Job Description
The Opportunity
We are adding a Procurement Specialist, our manufacturing grade buyer and planner. You will place and manage purchases, qualify and monitor suppliers, run day-to-day planning and expediting, and close the loop with suppliers on incoming material. This is the procurement and planning of half of our supply chain function, and it is the designated development path to Supply Chain Manager. This is not an ordinary buyer seat. We are looking for someone who understands how products are built and sources with that judgment.
What You Are Walking Into
Our ERP foundation is already in place. Oracle NetSuite went live through our 2022 launch and 2023 relaunch, and the bones and most of the data are there. What we need now are builders in the right seats to make the system as robust as we know it can be.
This is a builder's seat. You will have the room and the empowerment to shape how we source, plan, and qualify suppliers, to be creative, and to help us do what others in our industry are not.
We expect gaps, and you will not be on an island building alone. Qualified people across Engineering and Technology, Operations, and Finance are here to train, mentor, and build alongside you.
What You Will Do
· Place and manage purchase orders in NetSuite with accuracy in price, quantity, specification, and delivery, on a disciplined multi-vendor basis.
· Run day-to-day planning and expediting within our MRP standards so materials stay aligned to the production schedule.
· Qualify and monitor suppliers: maintain the approved list, run the scorecard, and hold delivery, quality, and cost to standard.
· Make sure incoming material arrives correctly and documented and resolve discrepancies with the supplier.
· Source with a builder's understanding of welding, fabrication, and assembly, reading drawings and bills of material.
· Honor customer and compliance sourcing requirements at the point of purchase.
What You Bring
· Manufacturing judgment (non-negotiable). A manufacturing or fabrication background, the ability to read drawings and bills of material, and enough process understanding of welding, fabrication, and assembly to source intelligently. We teach our specific products and processes.
· Procurement capability. Demonstrated purchasing, planning, or procurement in a manufacturing environment, with multi-vendor sourcing discipline.
· Systems fluency. Proficiency with a tier 1 ERP (NetSuite preferred), including purchase order management and basic MRP logic.
· Experience. Two to four or more years in purchasing, planning, or procurement in manufacturing.
· Character. Detailed, disciplined, accountable, and steady under pressure, with a learning orientation toward the broader function.
What We Offer
· Pay. $72,000 to $92,000 per year, Specialist band, salaried exempt, with room to grow on demonstrated capability.
· Benefits. Company-paid medical and disability insurance, plus a benefit allotment you direct toward dental, vision, and other voluntary coverage; a Benefit Assist Card for out-of-pocket costs; a 401(k) with 4 percent employer match; paid time off; and annual and seasonal bonus eligibility.
· Schedule. Full-time and on-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with hours aligned to the production operation.
· The company. A value-driven, debt-disciplined manufacturer that invests in its people and is building for the long term.
Working Conditions
This role works across both office and manufacturing floor environments. It involves walking the facility for floor partnership and material verification, occasionally lifting and moving material samples and parts up to about forty pounds, and required personal protective equipment on the floor. The role is safety-sensitive under Oklahoma law (OMMA). Reasonable accommodation is available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
