Job Description
Phoenix Tailings is looking for a Director of FP&A to own the company’s accounting and financial operations as we scale production of critical metals. This role will be responsible for building accurate, auditable financials from the ground up while driving financial planning and supporting key business decisions. You will directly shape the financial infrastructure required to support capital-intensive growth and ensure the company operates with financial discipline at every stage.
- Build and maintain systems for tracking revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Prepare audit-ready financials and support external audits and tax filings
- Track and manage project-based accounting tied to plant buildout and production operations
- Suing efforts through financial reporting, model development, and diligence materials
- Support fundraising efforts through financial reporting, model development, and diligence materials
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles with direct ownership of financial reporting
- Experience implementing accounting policies, controls, and audit processes
- Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
- Experience building and maintaining financial models for budgeting and forecasting
- CPA or equivalent certification
