Chamfer Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

Location: Arlington, Texas
Shift:2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:15 PM
Pay: $16.00 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Chamfer Machine Operator to join our Saw Department on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for operating chamfering equipment to remove burrs and create smooth edges on metal material while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in manufacturing with on-the-job training available.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate chamfer machines safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Match incoming materials to the correct job tags.
  • Select the appropriate gripper die based on material diameter.
  • Set machine stops to the proper chamfer depth.
  • Produce first article parts for Quality Control approval.
  • Chamfer finished material and properly tag each job before moving to the next operation.
  • Complete work orders and obtain Saw Lead approval before closing jobs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including end-of-shift housekeeping.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful but not required.
  • Less than one month of related experience or equivalent training is acceptable.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Experience in metal manufacturing or fabrication.
  • Experience using measuring tools or quality inspection processes.
  • Experience operating industrial machinery.

  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing machinery while following standard operating procedures.
