Grinder

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Grinder to join their team. As a Grinder, you will be part of the production department supporting the machining and finishing processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Grinder

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $15.00

Shift: Days (03:00-13:30)

What's the Job?

• Operate grinding equipment to remove cosmetic defects from casting prior to product machining
• Visually inspect casting for defects before grinding
• Produce a finish on the casting that removes all cosmetic defects
• Report casting defects to supervisors for correction
• Maintain machinery, patterns, hand tools, and other equipment in good condition

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant work experience
• Ability to lift parts weighing over 50 pounds with assistance if needed
• Ability to work in bending, standing, or squatting positions for extended periods
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Willingness to participate in training and continuing education
