Maintenance Mechanic
Our client, a leading property management and industrial development organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Facilities Support team supporting property upkeep and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Negaunee, MI
Pay Range: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
Shift: Currently working 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be available as needed.
What's the Job?
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on various equipment and building systems. Some driving required.
Maintain and repair heavy machinery such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, plow trucks, and forklifts.
Conduct carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and drywall tasks to ensure building integrity.
Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Perform trenching and/or hand digging for utility and maintenance projects.
Assist with septic systems, drain fields, and water line installation, maintenance, and repairs.
Pour and finish concrete for various maintenance and construction projects.
Support mechanical and building maintenance activities across multiple properties.
Keep detailed records of work performed for future reference and maintenance planning.
Assist with seasonal snow removal and other additional tasks as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What's Needed?
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Experience in mechanical maintenance and carpentry work.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Strong organizational skills for record-keeping and planning.
Experience operating equipment is preferred.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including digging, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Willingness to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
