Production Technician (PMA) - Now Hiring

AkroFire is seeking a Production Technician (PMA) who willmanufacture our signature products. These will become fire resistant patches used for the repair of commercial airplanes.

Job Accountabilities:

• Must be able to read and follow work instructions for mixing chemicals, production, and verifying quality compliance with specifications.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with team members to partner in problem solving activities.
• Handle materials and components carefully to avoid damage or contamination.
• Utilize equipment including scales, chemical applicators, precision instruments, and various hand tools.
• Able to work independently, with minimal direction, demonstrate reliable attendance, and sustain effort to complete tasks readily and consistently.
• Maintain a clean work environment with a mind towards continuous improvement.
• Able to lift 30lbs, comfortable standing for extended periods, work within a standard manufacturing/warehouse environment, and communicate effectively with peers.
• Other work as assigned.

Job Specifications:

Education: Requires a High School Diploma/GED or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements only.

Years' Experience: 0-2years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or similar preferred

Skills:

• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn, maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with standards
• Report equipment issues and escalate concerns in a timely manner
• Ability to follow instructions explicitly or innovate, depending on the situation.
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Possesses knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement environment.
• Motivated to grow expertise and engage in operational excellence.
