Job Description

 Experienced Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacist for a contract assignment. Under the direction of the Pharmacy Director, the pharmacist will oversee inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication procurement, storage, distribution, dispensing, and safe administration practices. Responsibilities include reviewing medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness, verifying patients' home medications, providing drug information and clinical support to healthcare providers, maintaining pharmacy policies and regulatory compliance, managing pharmacy inventory and automated dispensing systems, monitoring controlled substance accountability, and supporting quality assurance initiatives. The pharmacist will also maintain crash carts and emergency medication supplies, participate in weekend emergency retail pharmacy coverage, provide after-hours on-call support during scheduled shifts, and perform additional pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience within the last 3 years (required).
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing (as required by state regulations).
• Experience reviewing and verifying inpatient medication orders.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards.
• Experience with medication procurement, inventory management, and controlled substance accountability.
• Experience maintaining automated medication dispensing systems (e.g., Omnicell or similar).
• Ability to provide clinical drug information and medication consultations to healthcare providers.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to participate in weekend coverage and after-hours on-call responsibilities.
