Travel RN – Neuro Med/Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Neurosciences Med/Telemetry unit
• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 on day shift, with stretch ratios up to 7:1
• Perform Foley catheter insertions and peripheral IV starts
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and HUC staff to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes
• Float to other med/surge floors as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Proficiency with standard med/surge equipment
• Experience with Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior neuroscience or neuro med/telemetry nursing experience
• Outgoing, self-motivated personality with the ability to adapt quickly to a new unit environment
