Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Oncology (Nights)

Contract | Nights | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg / Oncology unit, including management of oncology patients and chemo side effects
• Administer and monitor infusions, including Infusaport access
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 on night shifts across a 28-bed unit
• Float to other Med Surg units and across campuses as needed
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements, including working 1–2 designated summer holidays unless the unit is closed

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact / Multistate RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 12 months of Oncology experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Minimum 24 months of current Oncology / Med Surg experience reflected in work history
• Proficiency with Infusaport access
• Must have completed at least one travel nursing contract within the previous 12 months (no first-time travelers)
• Active AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Med Surg experience, particularly in support of floating responsibilities
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Recent chemotherapy administration experience
• CHEMO, ONS, or ONCC certification
