Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room / Med-Surg Swing

Location

Garrison, ND

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ED and Med-Surg Swing bed unit with a 22-bed capacity
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for acute care, 1:4 in the ED, and 1:6 for swing bed patients
• Titrate and manage drips as required per patient care needs
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently as the assigned RN
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including nebulizers, oxygen delivery systems, ventilators (ED/transport use), and CPAP as needed
• Float to ED holds as needed and may serve in a charge nurse capacity

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum of one year of Med-Surg experience
• Ability to titrate drips and manage common titratable medications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Familiarity with swing bed patient care models
