Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift, 4x10s, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | One night of call per week and one weekend per month

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional nursing functions including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the perioperative setting
• Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care while meeting established Standards of Nursing Practice
• Scrub and circulate in surgical cases including orthopedics, orthopedic totals, gynecology, and general surgery
• Function within facility policies and guidelines, reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services
• Exemplify leadership and professionalism in the expanded RNFA role while promoting cooperation among the health care team

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course
• Minimum three years of scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility
• Current RN license in state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification
• Current Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
• Annual surgeon review required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedic totals and gynecology
