Job Title

Travel RN – Med Surg / Cardiology (2 West)

Location

Birmingham, Alabama

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Med Surg/Cardiology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Care for pre- and post-heart catheterization patients as well as general cardiology patients including chest pain and hypertension cases
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Operate standard acute care equipment in alignment with unit protocols
• Float as first to float when census or staffing needs require reallocation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in Medical Surgical nursing
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiology nursing experience, including care of cardiac patients
• Acute care clinical skills in a hospital setting
• Flexible, dependable, and collaborative personality with a patient- and staff-focused approach
