Job Title

Registered Nurse – CVOR (Cardiothoracic)

Location

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate complex cardiac cases including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve procedures, and ascending/descending aortic cases
• Assist with Heart and Lung Transplant procedures
• Circulate general OR and vascular cases as assigned
• Participate in on-call rotation, averaging 5–8 calls per month including weekend call
• Comply with holiday call requirements as determined by department needs
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain required radiation badge compliance

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state RN license must be in hand at contract start
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience; first-time CVOR travelers must have 5+ years of overall experience
• BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Ability to circulate complex cardiac, general OR, and vascular cases
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Heart and Lung Transplant cases
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records charting system
• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital
