Job Summary and Qualifications

Serves in the capacity of the Electrophysiology Technician; assisting in patient care through procedures. Directly involved in assisting with EP procedures and the development of protocols. Cross trains cath lab staff to EP procedures to achieve a level of comfort in working with the new procedures and meet developed competencies that are developed. 

  • Responsible for recognizing all pressure forms and hemodynamic parameters recorded.
  • Utilizes supplies and equipment with efficiency.
  • Assesses the physiological and psychological needs of each patient that is admitted to the CVL holding area.
  • Documents all appropriate information in complete, concise, neat, and accurate manner.
  • Effectively achieves hemostasis causing minimum discomfort and bleeding. 

 What qualifications you will need:

  • A graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required OR  graduate of a degree granting program in a health science (includes, but not limited to, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic) with a current certification or registration required. 
  • Experience working in the Cath Lab as a Technician required.
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • A current certification as a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist.
