Machinist – 2nd Shift

Shift: 4:00 PM – 3:00 AM

We are looking for a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will produce precision metal components using CNC and manual machining equipment while working from blueprints and detailed specifications.

This is a great opportunity for a machinist who enjoys working in a job shop environment where projects vary from small batches to larger production runs.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools
• Produce precision metal parts according to blueprints and specifications
• Determine proper machine speeds, feeds, and tooling
• Monitor machining operations to ensure quality and accuracy
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping
• Communicate with team members to ensure production goals are met
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards

What We're Looking For

• Experience in machining or CNC operations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances
• Experience in a job shop environment is a plus
• CNC setup experience preferred
• CNC programming experience is a plus
• Knowledge of machining tools and accessories such as:
• • Tool holders
  • Cutting tools
  • Inserts
  • Boring bars
  • Fixtures
• Experience using precision measuring tools including:
• • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Depth gauges
  • Indicators
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Work Environment

• Climate-controlled manufacturing facility
• Work around CNC machinery and machining equipment
• Exposure to machine coolant and shop chemicals
• Concrete floors and regular forklift traffic
• Moderate machine noise

Physical Requirements

• Standing or sitting for extended periods
• Frequent reaching, grasping, and repetitive hand movements
• Lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally
• Bending, twisting, or climbing platforms as needed
