Manual Machinist

Staff Source is seeking experienced manual machinists for our client in Griffith, IN. This manual machinist position is a full time, temp-to-hire position with a starting pay of $23+/hr depending on experience. It is currently available for 1st shift Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed. Once hired on you will receive full family medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401k with company match, and PTO. PPE will be covered including reimbursement for steel toe boots.

Job Responsibilities:

• Setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, and technical drawings

• Maintaining high-quality standards

• Using precision measuring tools to conduct inspections

• Troubleshooting and fixing machining issues

• Working independently

Job Requirements:

• Manual machinist experience of 5+ years

• Blueprint reading skills

• Proficiency with precision machining tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)

• High attention to detail

• GED/High School Diploma

• Pass a drug test and background check

• Ability to lift over 50lbs
