This role supports a busy orthopedic surgery program within a community hospital environment affiliated with a major academic health system. The ideal provider is a strong, independent orthopedic first assist who can support the surgeon in the OR, manage inpatient rounding, assist with triage, and handle clinic follow-ups with minimal supervision.

The orthopedic service provides comprehensive musculoskeletal care, including bone, joint, sports-related, and restorative orthopedic treatment. Publicly available service information also supports alignment with joint replacement, hip, knee, shoulder, sports medicine, and general orthopedic care.

Clinical Scope

Candidate Requirements

• Experienced Orthopedic Surgery PA/APP
• Strong independent first assist experience required
• Active New York license strongly preferred
• Comfortable with inpatient rounding and clinic follow-ups
• Able to function with minimal supervision
• Emergency privileging-ready file preferred
• Prior experience with joints, hip fractures, trauma, and general orthopedics preferred
