Key Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
- Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
- Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Delegates tasks to support staff and oversees treatment provided by technicians or other service providers.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, required upon hire.
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques effectively.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board Approved Program preferred.
- Prior experience in IR/Special Procedures or a related specialty area.
