Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an adaptive acuity Med Surg/Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Serve in a charge nurse capacity as required for this assignment
• Administer and monitor IV drips including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips
• Provide Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level care at a 1:3 ratio when unit acuity requires it — this is a non-negotiable expectation of the role
• Float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Vermont RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Charge nurse experience required — must be willing and able to work charge
• Drip experience required, including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips
• Minimum 3 months of prior travel nursing experience (non-negotiable)
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience strongly required
• Must have own reliable vehicle
• Current skills checklists for PCU, Med Surg, and Telemetry (within the past year) required at submission
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a small or critical access hospital setting preferred
• Additional travel nursing experience beyond the minimum 3 months preferred
