Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 4x12-hour shifts | 36 or 48 hours per week options available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units, including complex and high-acuity patient populations
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned floors
• Float within scope of practice to various units and potentially to a sister campus location to meet staffing needs
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
• Complete accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Fulfill weekend and holiday shift requirements as outlined by facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• Ability and willingness to manage IV drips on all assigned floors
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (may be considered in lieu of first-timer restriction)
• Background in specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Orthopedics, Transplant, or Progressive Care
• Familiarity with high-acuity or stepdown/PCU-level patient care
