• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
• Current BLS certification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Experience working in a hospital Main Operating Room required
• Strong experience with:
  • Total Joint procedures
  • General Surgery
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Spine Surgery
• Experience scrubbing a wide variety of surgical specialties preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced OR environment

Unit & Case Types

• 1:1 Surgical Technologist-to-patient ratio
• Performs a wide range of surgical procedures, including:
  • Orthopedics
  • General Surgery
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Neurosurgery/Spine
  • ENT
  • Trauma
  • Cardiovascular procedures (CABG, valve procedures, pacemakers, lead extractions)
  • Thoracic/Lung procedures
• Transplant cases are not performed

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields before procedures
• Set up and maintain sterile instruments and surgical equipment
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during surgery
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
• Anticipate surgical team needs and ensure efficient workflow
• Assist with specimen handling, counts, and room turnover
• Participate in weekday and weekend call rotations as assigned
