Job Details- Position: MRI Technologist
- Location: Albany
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 5x8
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $2700 to $2890
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for MRI procedures
- Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety and contraindications
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Review completed images to ensure quality and accuracy before submitting them for interpretation
- Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and provide compassionate care
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the electronic medical record
- Perform routine equipment quality checks and report maintenance issues promptly
- Follow MRI safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide outstanding patient care
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
- Active New York Radiologic Technologist License, if required by state regulations
- Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
- ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent MRI Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience with contrast-enhanced MRI studies preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols, anatomy, and imaging procedures
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic excellence
