Electrical Engineer

Description

- Assist in designing electrical systems, including power distribution and controls

- Create, update, and maintain schematics and CAD drawings

- Support troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems

- Provide daily technical support to production and maintenance teams

- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts

- Help execute projects and support equipment installations

- Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

- 0–3 years of experience; internships and co‑ops are great

- Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, drives, and general control systems

- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics

- Strong problem‑solving abilities

Preferred:

- Experience using AutoCAD

- Exposure to Allen‑Bradley or Siemens PLC platforms

- Familiarity with ThinManager or MES systems

- Experience in manufacturing or automation through internships

- Understanding of Lean principles

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dubuque, IA.

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $41.00/hr.
