Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Special Education Teacher to support preschool early intervention students for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract position is based at a single site near Mifflintown, providing a stable daily environment with no travel required between locations. You’ll work standard school hours, dedicating your expertise to a single classroom where young learners benefit from your individualized instructional strategies and passion for positive development.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification per state requirements
- Previous experience with early intervention and preschool-age children is preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education program (IEP) processes and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver instructional plans tailored to each student’s needs and IEP goals
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to foster academic, social, and emotional growth
- Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure each child’s needs are met
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
- Maintain compliance with all state educational regulations and documentation standards
