Job Description
This role focuses on TIG welding on magnesium and aluminum components within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You use your welding expertise, blueprint reading skills, and ability to work with hand and power tools to support production, maintenance, and transmission teardown operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on magnesium and aluminum parts according to specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately to ensure proper weld placement, dimensions, and assembly requirements.
- Work on an assembly line focused on transmission tear downs, supporting production activities as needed.
- Use hand and power tools to prepare, assemble, and finish parts for welding and production.
- Operate a sandblaster at times to clean, prepare, or finish components as part of the manufacturing process.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks related to welding equipment, tools, and production machinery as directed.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of previous TIG welding experience on aluminum and magnesium.
- Proficiency in TIG welding techniques with a focus on magnesium and aluminum materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and successfully pass a blueprint reading test.
Work Environment
The facility is not climate controlled, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures throughout the year. Typical hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime occasionally required by starting an hour early or staying an hour late. The role involves regular use of welding equipment, hand and power tools, and sandblasting equipment, with appropriate work attire needed for a hands-on industrial setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
