Cardiothoracic Surgeon Locum Needed in Altoona Pennsylvania

• Requirements: Board Certified, Active PA License or IMLC, ACLS, BLS. 
• Schedule: 7a - 7a shifts. 
  • Typically 2 long weekends a month (Thursday-Monday) and any additional stretches for PTO or holidays.
  • The site needs someone to cover consecutive days like a Thursday at 7am- to the following Monday at 7am, not one day at a time.

• Rounding on inpatients, cases, clinic. It varies. Wednesdays are TAVRs and TAVR and TAVR clinic days.
• Minimal calls on inpatients and admissions. Rarely get urgent dissections or overnight needs that require surgical intervention.
• Do not need the provider to be in house 24/7. Our covering docs usually stay in a hotel in the area and need to be available no more than a 30 minute response time for calls.
• MD is usually in house for rounding, cases, and office visits usually 8-430 for non case days or 630am for case days due to OR start time.
