Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers flexibility, with full-time hours at 33.75 per week or a part-time option around 20 hours weekly, allowing you to shape your professional life to fit your unique needs.

You'll teach in classrooms averaging 19 students and enjoy the collaboration of two experienced Ed Techs. For those opting for part-time work, there's even the possibility of a third Ed Tech to enhance student support. The focus is on serving students primarily identified with Specific Learning Disabilities and Other Health Impairments, in a setting free from emotional disorders.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • State certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Previous experience teaching elementary grades preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Passion for differentiated instruction and inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans for students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with Ed Techs and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate student records and progress data
  • Engage in IEP meetings, supporting goals and accommodations
  • Foster a positive, proactive classroom climate that encourages engagement and growth
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
