Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description

The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting daily operations by handling incoming and outgoing materials, preparing orders for shipment, and assisting with production needs. This position involves material handling, packaging, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and building pallets and crates using hand and power tools in a light technical, clean, and organized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and prepare customer orders for shipping with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Receive incoming parts and materials, verify quantities and condition, and stock them in appropriate locations.
  • Create kits of parts and materials to support production work and panel assembly operations.
  • Build pallets and crates using hand tools and power tools to safely secure products for shipment.
  • Perform material handling and packaging tasks to ensure products are properly protected and labeled.
  • Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Schedule products for shipment, coordinating timing and documentation as needed.
  • Use computers as needed to enter data, track inventory, and support shipping and receiving activities.
  • Follow all safety guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials.
  • Work collaboratively with team members in different cells building various types of panels for multiple industries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area within the warehouse and light technical shop environment.
Essential Skills
  • Comfort working in a warehouse or material handling environment.
  • Ability to learn and operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts with provided training.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely to build pallets and crates.
  • Willingness to perform shipping, receiving, and general material handling tasks.
  • Comfort using computers for basic data entry and tracking after training.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliability in adhering to a first-shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (with some flexibility on start time).
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, light technical setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • Prior forklift experience preferred but not required.
  • Interest in learning how to build electrical control panels in a production environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong drive to learn new skills.
  • Willingness to cross-train on different types of forklifts and equipment.
  • Comfort working in a smaller, privately owned shop environment.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift role, working 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the ability to flex the start time up to 7:00 a.m. when needed. The facility is a smaller, privately owned panel shop with around 30 people in the entire operation, located in an old airport hangar that is clean, organized, and set up in different cells building various types of electrical control panels for multiple industries. The environment is light technical, with a friendly culture and nice people, and uses forklifts, pallet jacks, hand tools, power tools, and computers as part of daily work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
