Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Preferred Skills/Experience: 1yr+ of hospital experience preferred.
Preferred Credentials: ACLS preferred for Charge RN position.
Unit Details: Ratio 4-5:1 (days), 5-6:1 (nights). General medical patients with various diagnoses. Heparin titration required. Common drips: Heparin. 24-hour Charge RN coverage; charge may have a patient assignment at times. House supervisor available 24/7. Two PCTs per shift; ratio 9:1 when unit is full, otherwise evenly split. Patients may have oxygen requirements up to 6L NC and stable BiPAP/CPAP at night or PRN. Telemetry is monitored remotely via the house-wide telemetry department; unit equipment is primarily Philips. Unit has 24-hour unit clerk coverage. Hospitalist/Intensivist, RT, and pharmacy are in house 24/7. RNs are expected to attempt IV starts and use unit resources if unsuccessful; inpatient phlebotomy team handles blood draws. All medications are prepared by pharmacy staff.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend - Sat/Sun (days) and Fri/Sat (nights). Holiday rotation per policy. No call required. Travelers may collaborate with unit leadership for additional scheduling preferences.
Floating Requirements: Travel RNs are first to float to other units as needed.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
