Job Summary
The Spiritual Care Assistant assist the Spiritual Care Coordinator in caring for the spiritual needs of the residents. In this role, you'll contribute to the preparation and implementation of spiritual programs, and visit and minister to residents, family members, and staff.
Primary Job Responsibilities and Duties
Demonstrates, promotes, and integrates the mission of the Sisters of Providence.
Provides intensive and extensive spiritual care to persons in various life situations and crisis circumstances.
Visits, counsels, and ministers to residents, family members, and staff as needed. Visits hospitalized residents when possible.
Attends wakes/funerals of residents when possible
Assists and contributes to programs and services for the spiritual expression and development of residents.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in spiritual care services
Background in Theology
Communicate effectively through active listening and response
Knowledge of the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Organization preferred.
