Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Heart & Vascular Unit
LocationOmaha, NE
Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 or 26 Week Options) | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hour Weekly Options Available | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 49-bed specialty Heart & Vascular Unit serving cardiovascular patients in a fast-paced, acute care environment
- Care for specialty patient populations including stable heart and lung transplant patients and those with Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs)
- Manage and monitor patients on drips across all assigned floors
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics, and LPNs as assigned
- Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across various units and campuses as required
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending Nebraska RN state license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting (Level I Academic Medical Center experience required for first-time travelers)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience managing drips
- Proficiency with EPIC charting required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
- Prior experience in a cardiac progressive care or cardiac vascular unit setting
