Most patients range from older adult to geriatric with at times, adolescent to younger adults. We see an average length of stay of 2 days for bariatric surgery patients, and up to 14-30 days for our complex plastics patients. The 2G patient population provides a robust learning environment where nurses gain experience working in interdisciplinary care planning, medication administration, bedside procedures, and patient/family education.RNs on this unit develop skills in wound management, specialty dressing care, leeching, surgical drain management, VACs, specialty beds, capnography, post-surgical care, NG tube placement, ostomy care, TPN, central lines, and medication management. Special Equipment : bariatric graded lifts (hoyer and sit-to-stand)Drips: Heparin; Amiodarone and Lasix are not titrated. #Tier2 Travel Compliance Required for Submission : Candidate must be pre-closed at time of submission: Review job details with the traveler.
