Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician, 1st Shift at 415 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC.

The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm.

This position is eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

The Assembler is responsible for meeting daily production goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role assembles Low Voltage Assemblies and performs all required production activities, including material allocation and retrieval, raw material preparation, assembly, electrical testing, quality inspections, and preparation of finished products for shipment or storage. The Assembler works collaboratively within a team environment and must be able to flex across all areas of the assembly operation as needed, including Lean Line processes (can preparation, taping, bridge joint assembly, printing paperwork and labels, brush testing, final testing, and assembly), as well as Flex Line and PowerWave2 assembly operations.

  • Assemble, adjust, repair, and test low-voltage assemblies using various fixtures, gauges, assembly tools, and equipment while performing required quality checks and visual inspections before, during, and after assembly to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, standard operating procedures, method sheets, and written or verbal instructions to accurately perform assigned work.
  • Prepare, layout, drill, saw, punch, rivet, caulk, paint, and label materials and assemblies as required throughout the production process.
  • Retrieve, allocate, and deliver materials to the assembly line and prepare completed assemblies and finished products for shipment or storage.
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and WSRAs while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Cross-train and flex to other assembly areas, production lines, or positions as needed to support operational requirements and production goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Industrial manufacturing experience
  • Experience using hand and air tools

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adapting to changing processes, priorities, and tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to support production goals and maintain a positive team environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S+ standards and all applicable safety requirements.
  • Possess the physical ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds, as well as push or pull up to 100 pounds with or without accommodation.
