Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Technician

Location: Orangeburg, SC

Shift: M-F 5a till 1:30p (2nd shift also available)

Pay: $27–$28/hour

Position Overview:

We're looking for motivated Equipment Maintenance Technicians with strong multi-craft maintenance skills to support highly automated manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This position is ideal for technicians with experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and robotic systems who enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment and working as part of a collaborative maintenance team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment and production lines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures, determine root causes, and implement effective long-term solutions.
  • Maintain and repair conveyors, robotic cells, automated assembly equipment, motors, drives, sensors, and other production machinery.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, mechanical drawings, and maintenance documentation.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, primarily Allen-Bradley systems.
  • Assist with equipment installation, setup, calibration, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, and fellow maintenance technicians to minimize downtime.
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Follow all plant safety procedures, including proper PPE usage and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience maintaining automated production equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair production equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to safe work practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, reach, crouch, and climb as needed to perform maintenance tasks.
